King of the Icefield (KoI) Guide
King of the Icefield (KoI) is a multi-day, cross-state competition. Like the other point events, the winning move is to line up your spending with the highest-scoring activities rather than burning resources off-peak. The King of the Icefield planner lists every activity's point value so you can build a plan.
How to think about it
- Stockpile before it starts. Bank speedups, and train a tier below your max so you can mass-promote during the event — see Train vs Promote. Promotion converts a small marginal cost into a large burst of points.
- Spend on the days that pay. The planner shows per-day point values; concentrate construction, research, and training finishes on the days they score.
- Don't leave free points on the table. Daily/cheap activities add up — the planner's value tiers highlight the best return per unit of effort.
Plan it
Open the KoI planner, enter what you intend to do (or import totals from your saved calculator plans), and watch your projected total against a target. The "Resources this plan needs" card diffs it against your active account's backpack so you know exactly what to prepare.
